A5 Rangers CC next CENTURY RIDE into the Cotswolds is taking place on Saturday 25th July; leaving our Club in Towcester at 8:00am and returning at about 6.00pm.
There will be two rides available;
1. Easy Paced with a few very manageable hills for all comers going at the pace of the slowest rider. This is a true Leisure Ride aimed at folk who like to enjoy the countryside and company of likeminded cyclists. The pace of this ride is likely to be 13 to 14mph average and this is only a guide.
Breakfast at Kineton Cafe
Lunch at Campden Coffee Company in Chipping Campden
A final stop in Bardon-on-the-Heath to picnic, so please bring a sandwich!
2. Slightly Faster version of this ride with a more Challenging Route. This ride is designed for the fitter, faster rider who would like to push themselves on some some steep climbs, one at 17.5% and over 6500 feet of climbing across a 100 mile distance. I don't think we will go much faster than 15 to 16mph average on this route. This ride will have different stops....
Breakfast at Tysoe Village Stores & Deli
Lunch at Wyatts Farm Shop near Great Rollright
Optional stop at The Limes in Farthinghoe if we need it.
If you'd like to join us on an entertaining day out you would be welcomed so please come to our club house in Towcester High Street at 7.45am for an 8am start and sign onto the ride that suits your ability and ride objectives.
I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
