Dave Stockley and Murray Kirton rode the national 10 mile VTTA CHAMPIONSHIP on the F11/10 Tring bypass (A41). They took 1st place (Gold Medal) on standard +06:47 (actual time 00:22:39) and set a new age record, for two 77 year olds on tandem. Congratulations to both.

Running the time-trials needs a number of helpers each week, for time-keeping, pushing off and marshalling riders round the course.

We are looking to the club riders who take part to help out with marshalling duties, with maybe 1 marshalling stint for every 4 races they ride.

There's a requirement to get your name down for duties after your first TT, and to have helped out in 3 races over the season in order to win

a trophy at the end of the year.

Helpers are organised by Trevor Parish, you can phone him on 01604 764182 to put your name down - we need some volunteers for

11th April onwards.

I'll try to keep a current list of scheduled helpers on the TT calendar, but it's Trevor who has the definitive list.

For those with less experience, there is a link to guidelines for marshal duties below.

Three members of the A5 Rangers Cycling Club rode the East Anglian VTTA 25mile Time Trial on a wet, cold and windy E2/25 at Newmarket.

- Ian Ellis 57:07

- Murray Kirton 1:05:48

- Trevor Parrish 1:08:16

The fastest ride of the day was James Rix of Team Bottrill with 46:51.

Thanks to those who rode the 5m TT at Foxley this week, results below.

Next Wed (16th May) is 10m on the Greens Norton course. You can ride solo, but this week it's the designated 2-up, so if you can find a (preferably fast) friend there's the chance of a trophy. Sign on before 18:45 for 19:00 start.
