Membership
Regular rides, a stronger cycling network and a club structure designed to help you get more from your time on the bike.
What membership is for
Membership is for riders who want to be part of the club rather than simply pass through a ride. It supports the organisation behind the weekly calendar and gives members a clear route into club activities, longer rides and social events.
You do not need to be a racer, own the newest bike or hit a particular average speed. You do need to be comfortable with the distance of the ride you choose, arrive with a serviceable bike and ride in a way that respects the group.
Member benefits
- Access to the full club ride calendar
- Seasonal endurance rides and club challenges
- Ride guidance and support from experienced members
- Club social events and route evenings
- A consistent group of riders to train and explore with
How to get started
Choose a suitable ride
Read the ride descriptions and pick a distance and effort level that sit comfortably within your current riding.
Introduce yourself
Contact the club before your first ride, especially if you are new to group riding or unsure which pace group fits best.
Ride with the group
Arrive early, speak to the ride leader, follow the briefing and give yourself time to learn how the group moves.
Who fits well at A5 Rangers?
Riders who enjoy consistency tend to get the most from the club. You might be training for a sportive, returning to regular cycling, extending your weekend distance or simply looking for people who are reliably ready to ride.
The common thread is attitude rather than ability. Good members communicate, contribute, look after their equipment, respect ride leaders and understand that the group works best when everybody leaves a little room for everybody else.
